The team is back from Edmonton!
The U of W Judo Team is back from Edmonton. During the weekend (March 15th and 16th), 16 members of the club were fighting at the WEM in the 3rd Edmonton International Judo Championship.
The club returned to Winnipeg with 2 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
All the members fought with all heart! People from all around started to ask where were these fighters from, meaning that the talent of the fighters caught everyone attention!
Congratulations for everyone!!
Special thanks for coach Shirin that even after a hard surgery in her knee, she joined the group for the long trip to Edmonton to support the team.

Great Results at the Jujitsu Open
WOW! Trying our hand at our sister sport, some of our judoka competed in the Manitoba Jujitsu Open on April 7th. Congratulations goes out to Shirin Farag and Dan Jaimeson on their Gold Medal performance. It also provided an opportunity to touch base with some former judoka, including our very own Chad McDougall. We look forward to his return during the summer session.
